Summer Fun at Arizona Resort Spas

Arizona summer deals make it easy to pamper yourself

By Elena Acoba

Whether you’re planning a vacation of resort recreation or seeking a few hours to get away, book some calming, rejuvenating time at resort spas offering seasonal savings. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Spa resorts

You’re in good hands when the resort’s mission is your wellness.canyon_ranch.JPG

Tucson’s Canyon Ranch fills your days with wellness workshops, fitness classes, recreation activities, healthful dining and soothing treatments. A parent who shares an accommodation with a child at least 14 years old saves 25 percent on one person’s nightly rate and receives a $130 allowance. A graduation special allows one visitor to stay free when the other pays a Sampler package rate.

Miraval, north of Tucson, helps you live in the moment with a Body Mindfulness Center, spa services, a physical challenge course, hiking and horseback riding trails and resort dining. Arizona residents can save up to $100 with special overnight rates that include meals, airport transportation, some resort facilities and unlimited access to scheduled programs and classes.

Overnight packages

Take full advantage of these resorts’ amenities.

These JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa summer deals include services at the Hashani Spa: Golf & Spa Package, Spa Package for One and Spa for Two + $50 Daily Dining Credit.

The Red Door Spa at Tucson’s The Westin La Paloma has a Spa Getaway with one service, lunch and a spa product. The Spa Amenity Package includes $50 credit for any treatment, plus breakfast for two during a two-night stay.

The Royal Palms Resort & Spa in Phoenix offers the Heat is On package: $100 resort credit, which breaks down into $50 at Alvadora Spa and $50 at the resort’s restaurant, T. Cook’s.

Sedona Spa at Los Abrigados Resort & Spa provides a 90-minute spa service for the price of a 60-minute service as part of its one-suite Summer Escape Package.

Day packages

Add a night if you wish, but these specials apply even if you don’t book a room.

Arizona allows residents to take 25 percent off services at the Golden Door Spa at The Boulders Resort in Carefree. Beat the Heat provides massage, body wrap, facial and lunch for a 30-percent savings.

Tubac Golf & Spa Resort gets you glowing with two 15-percent-off specials: Summer Prep with body treatment, pedicure, bikini wax and gift and Summer Sun with facial, body treatment, lunch and gift.

Westward Look Resort’s Sonoran Spa in Tucson allows you to create your own package from a “tapas menu” of treatments categorized as appetizers, main courses and sides.

Summer savings

Arizonans find savings at two Scottsdale resorts. The Eurasia Spa at the Scottsdale Resort & Athletic Club provides 20- to 30-percent savings on certain massages, facials and body treatments. Agave, The Arizona Spa at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, has a Thank You Therapies discounted selection and discounted services on Be Well Wednesdays.

Aji Spa at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa in Chandler offers a Bare Necessities massage, facial or pedicure. You get certain facials and body treatments for 10 percent off at the Sanctuary Spa in Paradise Valley’s Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. The Red Door Spa at the Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa in Litchfield Park discounts massage, facial and combo manicure/pedicure services.

The Salon & Day Spa at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort provides Dehp (pronounced “deep”) treatments at half off and massages and facials at a 40-percent savings. The Centre for Well-Being at The Phoenician in Scottsdale offers Summer Lift, a Nu-Face quick-lift upgrade to a 50- or 80-minute facial and a summer Royal Rejuvenation facial and scalp massage.
