Cordes

Originally dubbed Antelope Station, the town of Cordes was founded in the 1883 by German immigrant John Henry Cordes, who served as its first postmaster. The post office closed in the 1940s and the town was subsequently abandoned, becoming another of Arizona’s many ghost towns.
