Apache Junction
Apache Junction is a desert community located at the base of the famous Superstition Mountains, approximately 35 miles east of Phoenix on Highway 60 (Superstition Freeway). Named for its spot at the junction of the Apache Trail and US Highway 60, the city enjoys approximately 295 days of sunshine a year, and has a year-round population of about 42,000 residents, which swells to 77,000 during the winter.
